Dr. Bogen is a Board-Certified Clinical Pathologist, having graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine (M.D.) and the Weizman Institute of Science (Ph.D.), with a post-graduate residency and research fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is Adjunct Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine and served as Medical Director, Clinical Chemistry Laboratory at Tufts Medical Center from 2010 - 2021. He is also an NCI-funded investigator whose research has focused principally on developing better laboratory diagnostic tools. Dr. Bogen previously developed the Artisan slide stainer and now serves as CEO of Boston Cell Standards.

Matt Cecchini, MD, PhD, FRCPC, is an Associate Professor of Pathology at Western University and a staff pathologist at London Health Sciences Centre in London, Ontario, with subspecialty expertise in head and neck, thoracic, and molecular pathology following fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic. He serves as Digital Pathology Transformation Lead at LHSC and sits on the boards of the Digital Pathology Association. His work focuses on translating AI and computational pathology tools into real-world clinical workflows.

Soufiane El Hallani

Dr. Soufiane El Hallani is a board-certified Molecular and Anatomical Pathologist in Alberta Precision Labs and an Associate Professor at the University of Alberta, Edmonton. He leads the research and development in the provincial molecular pathology program to integrate innovative molecular applications in the practice of pathology. Dr. El Hallani is a strong advocate for the adoption of genomics in the modern practice of pathology to achieve the vision of Precision Health, improve cancer detection and patient care.

Chief of Pathology and Medical Director of Laboratory Medicine, Mackenzie Health; Associate Professor Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, University of Toronto. Dr. Evans is Chief of Pathology at Mackenzie Health (MH), a large community hospital in the Greater Toronto Area that has transitioned to digital pathology. Prior to moving to MH, he was at University Health Network in Toronto serving as Director of Digital Pathology from 2004-2020. He has been extensively involved in developing best practice documents for digital pathology with the College of American Pathologists (CAP). He chaired the CAP Digital and Computational Pathology Committee from 2016-2021 and serves on the Artificial Intelligence Committee, Council on Informatics and Pathology Innovation. He is also the current clinical lead for the Pathology Panel within the Ontario Laboratory Medicine

Susan Prendeville

Dr Susan Prendeville is a urologic pathologist and director of the urologic pathology fellowship at University Health Network, Toronto, and an assistant professor at the University of Toronto. She completed residency training in Ireland followed by subspecialty fellowship in urologic pathology at the University of Toronto. Her research interests include biomarker and pathology classification in prostate and renal cancer.

Heather Ruff is an Associate Professor and Pathologist at the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. She has training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Cytopathology and Medical Microbiology. Her main interests are expanding the utility of cytopathology specimens and their derivatives for immunocytochemical and molecular biomarker testing.

Irena Srebotnik Kirbis, PhD, is a Biomedical Scientist and Research Associate at the Institute of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her professional background includes cytopathology practice at the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana, with expertise in immunocytochemistry, sample processing, and quality improvement.

Her current work focuses on the optimized use of immunocytochemistry in cytology. She has served as Slovenia’s representative in the European Advisory Committee of Cytotechnology (EACC) since 1997 and as an assessor in two external quality programmes for cytology: the United Kingdom National External Quality Assessment Service (UK NEQAS) for Immunocytochemistry since 2004, and UK NEQAS Cellular Pathology Techniques (CPT) since 2014 and has authored several peer-reviewed publications.

Tracy Stockley

Tracy Stockley PhD, FCCMG, FACMG

Stockley is a molecular geneticist and Director of Hereditary Genomics in the Genome Diagnostics Division at University Health Network in Toronto. At UHN, Dr. Stockley participates in overseeing genetic testing for oncology, including hereditary cancer, companion diagnostics and the development of genomic tests for emerging biomarkers. Dr. Stockley has research and clinical interests in improving quality assurance in high-complexity laboratory testing, and engages in quality activities with multiple national and international organizations, including Health Canada, the Canadian Biomarker Quality Assurance program, the College of American Pathologists, Association for Molecular Pathology, the European Molecular Quality Network and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). In addition, Dr. Stockley is a Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto, and is a past President of the Canadian College of Medical Geneticists (CCMG). Dr. Stockley is also a cancer survivor with a personal interest in patient support and engagement in research.
